Elaine Buderer, ASID, CID, owner of Restoration
Interior Design, began as an interior designer in the early 1980s
working for a company that specialized in model home design. This
job allowed her to combine real-life experience with her studies in
interior design at the Maryland Institute College of Art and her undergraduate
degree in home economics and art from West Virginia Wesleyan College.
In 1995, with the intention of taking her career
to the next level, she passed an intensive professional examination
and became a registered professional member of the American Society
of Interior Designers (ASID). She is also a Certified Interior Designer
(CID), meaning she is licensed in the state of Maryland.
In 1997, she founded Restoration Interior Design
in Columbia, MD. Since that time, the company has provided an array
of services, including traditional interior design and the restoration
and renovation of older homes. It also has an extensive network
of skilled artisans and contractors who can take clients designs
and make them a reality.
